North Cyprus Student Admissions: My Personal Experience and Tips
The admission process was tougher than I imagined. I struggled with understanding requirements, collecting all necessary documents and I was also worried about the application fees, but thankfully, thanks to this platform, I managed to apply to several universities without paying a single application fee, which was a huge relief.
The next hurdle was the initial deposit. I realized I needed a credit card with international transaction capability, which caused a bit of stress at first. Then came the visa documentation i.e. gathering all papers accurately was challenging but essential.
Booking my airline ticket was another decision to make. I wanted a cheap ticket, but also preferred comfort and reliability, so I chose Turkish Airlines. During my transit in Turkey, I had a 4-hour layover and had some light chit-chat at the immigration counter, which made the wait easier.
Reaching upon the Ercan, since orientation was over as well as I arrived on a Sunday, so no one from the university was available to receive me. So, please avoid holidays and Sundays for travelling. Therefore, I hired a taxi and traveled alone to reach my accommodation safely. When I arrived I was informed that there was no space in the university's guest rooms. Luckily, I had reserved my accommodation at the time of admission; if not, I would have needed to alert the university for guidance. The next day, I completed my registration.
Looking back, every challenge taught me patience, planning, and confidence. It’s tough, but absolutely worth it. But let me conclude! without proper assistance, none of this would have been possible. There was always someone ready to help whenever I felt confused or distracted. I am thankful to StudyInNorthCyprus.ai for guiding me throughout this journey.
